Mrs Texas International 2014
Mrs. Texas International 2014 Whitney Montgomery

Whitney Montgomery is a woman of grace and conviction who puts her boundless energy toward her many different roles of wife, mother, medical professional, CASA volunteer and Mrs. Texas International 2014.

Whitney's platform, "CASA Stands for Children," was borne out of her own experience. Holding a baby in her arms who had been the victim of child abuse, she was terrified of what the future might hold for that little one. But the reassuring presence of that child's dedicated CASA volunteer, who would be with the baby through every court hearing, visitation, and family planning meeting, was a positive constant who acted in the best interest of the child. Whitney's mission is to help provide every abused and neglected child with a volunteer and, ultimately, a loving home with their Forever Family.

Whitney is also a medical professional who enjoys helping patients live their lives to the fullest in her career as a board-certified physician assistant specializing in neurology. Whitney earned a bachelor of science in biology with a minor in rehabilitation from Stephen F. Austin State University and a second bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies from UTMB Galveston.

A committed volunteer, Whitney serves on the Advisory Council for the Montgomery County CASA and started the area's first Young Professionals for CASA group, for which she serves as the group's president. She is a director of Community Partners of Montgomery County, an organization dedicated to giving hope and help to abused and neglected children, and she is also part is The Orphan Care Network. Whitney spends time with many other organizations, as well, including Hope for a Cure (Juvenile Batten's Disease), Children's Safe Harbor, Make A Wish, and many more.

Through the Texas International Pageant System's partnership with the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement, Whitney serves as an ambassador and spokesperson for the cause. She is passionate about educating women, men, and children and encouraging a healthy lifestyle that will help in the prevention of heart disease.

Whitney and her husband, Seth (affectionately known as "Mr. Texas"), enjoy being active members of their community in The Woodlands, along with their three children. Whitney and Seth spend time watching their girls compete in competitive cheer, traveling, and trying out new and fun activities to stay physically fit as a family.

Whitney and her husband adopted their youngest child, a son, through the foster care system with the help of a CASA volunteer who inspired her platform, "CASA Stands for Children." As Mrs. Texas International 2014, Whitney works to recruit advocates and raise funds to support children across Texas. Her mission is to make sure that no child is left without a volunteer and that none of their little voices are left unheard.
